IT and security

Managed IT and cybersecurity, set up right and kept that way.

A lot of businesses run on whatever somebody set up years ago. We set up your computers, email, network and backups properly, lock down the logins, and keep it all maintained, so a lost laptop or a bad click is far easier to recover from.

The day-to-day

Sound familiar?

  • “Everybody shares one password, and I’m not sure who still knows it.”
  • “When somebody leaves, I’m never sure we’ve shut off all of their access.”
  • “We have backups, I think. Nobody has ever tried to restore one.”
  • “A fake invoice in our email almost got paid, and I don’t know what would stop the next one.”

The build

What we build.

  • Computers and devices set up right

Laptops, desktops and phones set up with updates on, drives encrypted and the right software, so each one starts clean.

  • Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace

Email, files and calendars on business accounts you own, with sharing settings that keep company files inside the company.

  • Email security

Filtering and sender protection that cut down on phishing and fake invoices, plus a short walkthrough for your team on what to watch for.

  • Backups that get tested

Your important files and accounts are backed up automatically, and we test a restore so you know it works before you need it.

  • Logins locked down

Multi-factor sign-in on every account, a password manager for the team, and least-privilege access so people reach only what their job needs.

  • Wi-Fi, network and access changes

Separate guest Wi-Fi, a network set up properly, access added when people join and removed when they leave, and a regular security review.

How it goes

Three steps. No mystery.

  1. 01

    We take stock

We list every computer, account, login and backup you have, and find the gaps that would hurt most if something went wrong.

  2. 02

We fix the biggest risks first

Multi-factor sign-in, backups and shared passwords usually come first. Then devices, email and the network, in the order that matters for you.

  3. 03

    We keep it maintained

Updates, access changes when people join or leave, backup tests and a regular security review, on a schedule we agree on.

No surprises

What this isn't.

  • We won’t tell you that you can never be hacked. We make it much harder to get in, and much easier to recover.
  • Not a pile of hardware and a contract you can’t get out of.
  • Not your lawyer. If your industry has privacy or security rules, we build the controls they call for and tell you when you need legal advice.

Straight answers

Questions owners ask.

We’re a small business. Do we really need this?

If you have email, customer records and more than one login, yes. Small businesses get the same scam emails and password attacks as big ones, usually with less in place to stop them. The basics, like multi-factor sign-in, tested backups and a password manager, go a long way.

Can you work with the computers and accounts we already have?

Usually, yes. We start with what you have, keep what is in good shape, and only recommend replacing something when it can’t be secured or kept updated.

What happens when someone joins or leaves?

When someone starts, they get the accounts and access their role needs, with multi-factor sign-in from day one. When someone leaves, their access comes off everything, shared passwords get changed, and company files stay with the company.

We handle patient or payment information. Can you help?

Yes. We set up role-based logins, least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, and an audit trail of who opened what, in accounts you own. If your work falls under HIPAA, we’ll sign a BAA. We build the controls your obligations call for, and we’ll tell you when you need a lawyer’s answer.
